Tramin is a well-known and ideal area for cyclists. It is situated 276 m above sea level and only 50 m above the bottom of the valley: therefore, it is an ideal starting point for cycling tours of all kinds. In the surroundings there are convenient traffic free roads through the forest and cycle ways. For experienced cyclists there are many roads leading to different passes: not far away from Tramin is the Passo Mendola (1363 m). The eastern road leading to the Passo Mendola is a well-known mountain road, which has its own character with its 17 turns and with a breath-taking panorama. The San Lugano Pass (1097m) connects the neighbouring village of Auer with the Province of Trentino, the Passo Palade (1518 m) is also an interesting destination for cyclists.
